Stephen McClain

Stephen McClain started his fire service career in 2003 at the Yuba College Fire Academy. In October of 2003, he joined the Olivehurst Fire Department as a Paid Call Fireman, in 2006 he was moved up to seasonal firefighter, then promoted to full-time engineer in 2009. Finishing his time at OFD in 2014 as the rank of Captain. In 2014, Stephen joined the Sacramento Fire Department in Academy Class 14-1 “Devils Cut". After detailing around the department for a few years, Stephen was assigned to Engine 17 in the Del Paso Heights neighborhood of Sacramento. In 2019 Stephen moved across the floor and is currently assigned to Engine 56 in Pacific Heights. In his off time, Stephen teaches for the Yuba College Fire Academy and the American River Fire Academy. Stephen was also a Drill Instructor for the Sacramento Fire department's recruit classes 19-1/19-2. Stephen is a California State Registered Instructor, a lead and skills evaluator, a primary instructor for Fire Control 3 and Firefighter Survival. In his off time you can find Stephen riding his Harley or out on the boat with his wife Jessica and his two kids.
