Ray started in the fire service in 2004 as a junior member of Jackson Mills Station 54 (Ocean County). He is a second-generation firefighter. His dad retired out of FDNY ( engine 69, ladder 109, Rescue 5). Ray enlisted in the US Air Force straight out of high school in 2006. After he graduated the DOD fire academy in Dec 2006, he was assigned to the 514 AF reserve crash fire rescue unit out of McGuire AFB. He was then deployed to Kirkuk Iraq in 2008, serving as a Firefighter EMT/Crew Chief. Once he completed his term in the military in 2014, he was hired by the Harrison NJ Fire Department and is currently assigned as the Ladder 1 Chauffeur/Tiller Man and senior FF on tour 3.

When Ray isn't working, he enjoys going to the beach with adorable son, Raymond Tremer IV.
